tag wins TICO in competitive bid

TORONTO (May 22, 2018) – Ontario’s travel regulator Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has selected tag as their new Agency of Record, following a 6-month, multi-agency bid for their communications and marketing business. tag will take a fully-integrated approach for a 3-year term that includes strategic and communications planning, creative, social media, digital, media and public relations.

“We were impressed with the research and effort that tag put into their proposal,” says Richard Smart, President and CEO of TICO. “Consumer protection is at the heart of what we do and we’re confident that tag will help us create a consumer awareness campaign to inform travellers about TICO’s role in the travel industry.”

Through the discovery process, tag determined how sacred travel is to Ontarians; an insight that provides multiple opportunities for the brand. Building awareness about the service and value TICO provides to Ontario travel consumers will be a primary objective in carving out a new strategic approach tag will continue to leverage their findings to develop comprehensive strategies that amplify the emotional impact TICO has on consumers.

tag will develop multiple integrated communication plans over the 3-year term that address both short and long term strategies, to address TICO’s objectives of improving overall awareness and understanding of their services.
